BLOG FOR THE SOUL
Quote for the Month: While it is fine to be grateful for the good fortune we have accumulated, true thankfulness stems from a powerful comprehension of the gift of simply being alive, and when we feel it, we feel it regardless of our circumstances. ~Madison Taylor
This past month was big in the Bay area. Our city was set afire. It looks like a war zone, and at some level, that is what it was. You can ask me privately if it’s your interest.
What is important is that I’m alive, many people I know are alive who were in the zone that was destroyed. There was one personal life casualty of a former student from many years ago. Her husband and her died in the fires. I wasn’t close nor did I stay in contact, but none-the-less, I felt grief for what happened and all who were affected.
It took me two weeks to move through survivor’s guilt in fleeing from the area for a week. Even though I’d been sending money to different agencies to help those who were directly affected along with private funds to friends who lost their home, and working on my beliefs, it was a little girl with a severe nose bleed in a Costco parking lot, that completely pulled me out of the guilt.
I was ‘told’ within to go over to her and her family as I passed their car going to my own. I saw the blood coming out of her nose while she was cyring, her mother was having her hold her head back with tissues under it, and her siblings were looking very worried. I put my items that I bought into my car and back tracked quickly to the family. They agreed to my support without even asking what I was going to do.
I placed my fingers on two Jin Shin Jyutsu points, went to the 7th Plane to witness inside her nose cavity. In less than 3 minutes, the bleeding had stopped, and she had stopped crying. They were all very grateful. I thanked them for allowing me to help and left. I had seen that the nose bleed was caused by the air quality and the toxicity in her liver. So this felt like I directly participated in helping someone.
I’ve been a healing practitioner for a long time; and in not feeling I wanted to go into the ‘trenches’ with many who stayed behind, my decision to leave the area was emergency-driven. I also knew I’d be affected by the toxicity and smoke. I’m like a canary in a coal mine in my sensitivity to things, and part of my self care is to acknowledge and accept this about myself.
When I have given Creator’s teachings of being “A priority in my life with balance” to clients, it’s also important for me to respect this for myself. Knowing my limits and boundaries is essential in how I can help others.
Even though I bless my food at every meal, tell my house I love it almost every day, and that I have deep gratitude for life, the practices have became even more mindful in leaving and then returning home.
This month is Thanksgiving in the U.S. Though it’s not politically or historically accurate in what really happened, it does bring people to a more reflective time to give thanks, to be appreciative, to count our blessings, not in comparison to others, but just that we are here at this time to make a difference. We’ve been given a life that has challenges, and how we move through them will support the virtues we develop to spiritually grow and the connections of care, love and heartfulness that we experience. We were made for these times.
With love and care,
I extracted possible ‘theme’ beliefs from the story. Energy test yourself for them, practice clearing them through digging if applicable, and use Creator's teachings, including the ones below, if they fit.
*I never do enough for others
*I have to compare what I do to what others do.
*Creator is disappointed in the amount of people I help.
*Creator compares what I do to what others do.
*I have to get sick to help others be better.
*I have to sacrifice for others to have gratitude in what I do have.
Helpful Creator’s teachings/downloads
I know what it feels like to, how to, when to, that it's possible, that I can, I do (or I am/am able to be):
*Be enough in how I help others and who I am
*Know that Creator accepts me and what I do to help others without comparisons
*Take care of myself first without guilt
*Live without sacrificing for others to have gratitude in what I do to help them.
*To have gratitude just because of the opportunity to be here at this time to make a difference.
Light stored as sound by scientists
Scientists have managed to convert the digital information carried by light waves into sound waves inside a microchip. This is the first time such a feat has been achieved. Light is great for telecommunication because it’s fast, but it’s too fast for computers to process. Researchers were able to build a chip that slows down light by turning it into sound waves.
Different Types of Exercise affect different parts of the brain
We have been hearing for years that exercise is medicine for the mind, especially aerobic exercise. Physical fitness has been shown to help with the cognitive decline associated with dementia, Parkinson’s disease and depression, and we know this is at least in part because getting your blood pumping brings more oxygen, growth factors, hormones and nutrients to your brain Researchers are starting to find more specific effects related to different kinds of exercise. Specifically, high-intensity intervals, aerobic exercise, weight training, yoga and sports drills are affect different areas of the brain.
Scientists Discover Biophotons In The Brain That Could Hint about Our Consciousness being Directly Linked to Light
Scientists have an exciting suspicion that our brain’s neurons might be able to communicate through light. They suspect that our brain might have optical communication channels, but they have no idea what could be communicated. Even more exciting, they claim that if there is an optical communication happening, the Biophotons our brains produce might be affected by quantum entanglement, meaning there can be a strong link between these photons, our consciousness and possibly what many cultures and religions refer to as Spirit.
Ancient City found underwater
Off the coast of Egypt, it was said that the ancient city of Heracleion was lost under the sea for good. Well, 1200 years later off the bay of Aboukir, this ancient city has finally been discovered. The city dates back to the 6th century B.C. and holds some of the most beautiful artifacts you could imagine. Things like grand statues of gods and goddesses standing well over 15 feet tall and carved out of red granite, treasures of gold and rare stones, elaborate temples and enormous tablets. This find is enormous in the historical preservation community and has been commissioned by museums around the world. Take a look at this incredible city found underwater.
